Castelnau-Magnoac. Caubou celebrating and family day in Castelnau

On this first Sunday in October, Caubous was celebrating. A very family-friendly celebration which is above all an opportunity for all the residents to get together at the invitation of their mayor, Joël Aspect, and the municipal council. The first act of this day of meeting took place in front of the war memorial, where Caubousoises and Caubousois gathered in front of the stele dedicated to the children of Caubous who died for . After flowering the monument, the mayor invited the audience to sing “La Marseillaise” a cappella. Then, everyone shared the municipal aperitif in the village hall. The end of the day gave pride of place to musette lovers, who were able to waltz at their leisure with the much appreciated Sandrine Tarayre and Jacques Demeurs.

Family Day

The activities will continue this Saturday, October 12, all day, in Castelnau, with multiple meetings organized as part of Family Day. The program offered is very eclectic with, at 9 a.m., at the Maison de l’Éducation, a baby massage workshop, then from 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the media library, a “storytelling” workshop. A cooking workshop will follow at 11 a.m. at the Maison de l’Éducation. In the afternoon, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Lac du Magnoac nautical base, free activities for all audiences will be offered: escape game, fun course, board game workshop. From 5 p.m., a hot air balloon event (accessible to accompanied 6 to 12 year olds) will be available, with registration on site the same day (limited number of places). On site, sale of refreshing drinks, hot drinks and cakes. From 5 p.m., everyone is invited to end the day by sharing the “conviviality pot”. In the event of bad weather, a retreat to the Maison de l’Éducation is planned for compatible activities.
