Moustier (Jemeppe): good bread to share at the bottom of the garden

To give new impetus to their activities, the two founders managed to convince the Vivre Ensemble action and the King Baudouin Foundation to support them financially in a project, that of the creation of a collective bread oven. “It was inaugurated on Sunday October 6 at the bottom of Émilie’s garden, rue de la Fabriquesmiles Nathalie Toussaint. We organized a small party, with a show by Simon Fiasse, and baked around forty pizzas in the oven. A beautiful moment that will call for others.”

Workshops will soon be organized with citizens, still at the bottom of Émilie Puits’ garden. If November 6 is already full, it is possible to participate in the cougnous workshop on December 14. “These are workshops where we can only accommodate six participants. We will make bread and we will bake it, obviously, in our oven. The objective, after having had a good time together, is to immediately sell our breads to friends and citizens at an obviously democratic price. The money collected will simply allow the non-profit organization to survive and pay for the wood for cooking.”

Accessible to all under conditions

The other particularity is that this oven is accessible to all citizens. “Émilie makes her garden available to the association. But there are still rules, smiles Nathalie Toussaint. There is no question of coming, for example, cooking pizzas with friends, spending the evening and then leaving. The idea is above all sharing with Moustiérois and citizens. It is entirely possible, for example, to ask to use the oven as part of the neighbors’ party. there must always be a collective, unifying appeal.” The opportunity to spend a friendly moment while bringing a neighborhood and an association to life.

For any further information, it is possible to contact the founders of the non-profit organization on 0490/19/83/66.
