Interpol seeks solution to mystery of murder of 46 women (photos)

Interpol has continued for years to seek information regarding 46 women involved in unsolved murder cases, as part of its efforts to uncover the circumstances of these mysterious crimes.

According to the website “Tags Show”, the International Police Organization hopes that any new details will help solve these cases.

Launch of the “Define My Identity” campaign

Interpol intends to launch a long-term educational campaign called “Take a step closer to past feminicides in Europe”, in cooperation with German, Belgian, Dutch, Italian, French and Spanish police.

The campaign aims to search for evidence of the bodies of 46 women and was launched under the slogan “Identify me”.

Suspicious circumstances of the murder

Most of the women were killed in suspicious or unclear circumstances, and nine of the still unidentified dead women were found in Germany.

Interpol provided reconstructions of the women’s faces, as well as photos of the jewelry and clothing found on them.

Call for information

In a statement, Interpol Secretary General Jürgen Stock said: “Even the smallest piece of information can be decisive in resolving these cold cases. »

He added that this information could be the key to finding the names and pasts of the victims and ensuring the long-awaited justice.

Previous campaign successes

The “Tag Me” campaign was launched last May with the aim of identifying 22 deceased women, and around 1,800 tips were received from the public about cases in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

According to the German site, a British woman was identified 31 years after her death and her body was found in Belgium in 1992.

The Federal Criminal Police Office also announced that there are nine unsolved cases in Germany involving women whose bodies were found between 1986 and 2002.

Increase in cases studied

As the expedition grew, three women were added to the list, including one found in a military training area near Hanover in 1994, another in Frankfurt am Main in 2001 and finally one in the district of Lahn-Del in Hesse in 1994. 1989.
