This Thursday, October 10, M6 is relaunching one of its flagship programs, namely The Best Pastry Chef which returns for a 13th season. This year, the show is full of new features with Laëtitia Milot at the presentation, the arrival of immunity thanks to the Golden Cupcake or even the end of the Mercotte test, replaced by “The secrets of the great chefs ” where renowned pastry chefs launch a challenge to the candidates. Another change this season, the show begins with the creative test. For this first of the competition, the fourteen amateur pastry chefs had to present themselves through a cake stand.

Timothée, the youngest in the competition from Lyon and living in Switzerland, wanted to show his passion for social networks. At 16, he is followed by almost 60,000 people on Instagram where he shares his sweet creations. It was therefore quite natural that he decided to make a cake in the shape of a ring light, the lights used by videographers, with a chocolate shell, a hazelnut praline and a peppered ganache. “The goal is for it to stand vertically. I will temper my chocolate, I will have a small base and the tart will come on it“, he explained to Cyril Lignac and Mercotte, unconvinced. “I’m more worried about how you’re going to hold the pie together, the taste, I’m not worried.
