“Jean-Luc Mélenchon wrote an anti-Semitic text concerning me,” assures Jérôme Guedj

At Sonia Mabrouk’s Europe 1-Cnews microphone, Jérôme Guedj accused Jean-Luc Mélenchon of having written an anti-Semitic text against him. An accusation which would be at the origin, according to the MP, of the refusal of LFI members to vote for him for the presidency of the social affairs committee of the National Assembly.

Is the new popular front on the verge of implosion? On Wednesday, Insoumise and environmentalists refused to vote for socialist candidate Jérôme Guedj for the presidency of the Social Affairs Committee of the National Assembly. A refusal which would be due to an accusation of anti-Semitism. Invited this Thursday morning to the Europe 1/Cnews microphone of the Grande Interview, the MP returned to this affair.

Jérôme Guedj brought back to his Jewish faith

“For the first time, I say it, on April 29, Jean-Luc Mélenchon wrote to me about an anti-Semitic text,” declared Jérôme Guedj. A reference to a column published by the leader of the LFI in Insoumission, a site of the France insoumise galaxy. The World recalls that in this text, Jean-Luc Mélenchon “targets his former comrade from the Socialist Party (PS) Jérôme Guedj, guilty, according to him, of ‘a clear setback’ on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The deputy for Essonne would plead thus ‘for an in-between between genocides and alleged supporters of the erasure of Israel'”. And to continue by continuing to bring the deputy back to his Jewish faith with his conclusion which explains that the elected official would have “denied the most constant principles of the left of Judaism in France”.

The cause of the break between Guedj and LFI?

“This is the first time that I have been essentialized in the political debate,” admits Jérôme Guedj at Sonia Mabrouk’s microphone. From there to say that this question has become a bone of contention, to the point of being at the origin of Jérôme Guedj’s break with the NFP before the legislative elections?

“These are false, lying accusations,” says Thomas Porte. “There is not a member of France Insoumise who has made, who makes or who will make anti-Semitic remarks” affirms the LFI deputy. “There, he comes to cry because he lost an election to head a commission by demanding the votes of people who made an agreement, while he refused it.” The election of Jérôme Guedj therefore failed despite the support of the PS. An incomprehensible support for LFI which accuses its allies of having broken the NFP agreement.
