Storm Kirk: resumption of school transport Friday in

After a sleepless day, school transport will resume this Friday morning in . The prefecture has just announced it, due to the improvement observed in the department this Thursday at 6 p.m. No buses left the depots this Thursday following the passage of storm Kirk, which caused serious damage in the area. Firefighters reported 2,500 calls overnight from Wednesday to Thursday.

This Thursday, at 7:15 p.m., they reported 786 interventions on this day alone, for 1,300 additional calls recorded.

The decline began in the afternoon on certain watercourses, particularly in the very affected sector of the Chevreuse valley. 90 ml of water fell overnight, the equivalent of a month of rain with a peak around 11 p.m. But the levels remain very high this Thursday evening, specifies, again, the prefecture which invites residents of the areas concerned to exercise the greatest caution. The firefighters also specify, for their part, that interventions remain in progress in the Chevreuse and sectors.

In terms of traffic, the situation has returned to almost normal on the main roads, with the exception of the N10 near Ablis.
