In February, during a walk on a beach located south of Royan (Charente-Maritime), walkers made a surprising discovery. They discovered a shoe with a severed foot inside.

The walkers brought the member to the nearest police station. After an analysis, the gendarmes were able to affirm that this foot belonged to Cyrille Picard, a man wanted since 2022 and suspected of having killed his daughter as revealed by Le Nouveau Détective.

The man had been seen in the town of Meschers-sur-Gironde (Charente-Maritime) a few months after the publication of the call for witnesses, in October 2022. The searches therefore focused on Charente-Maritime to try to find this man wanted by Europol.

This discovery does not mean an end to research

If the foot found is indeed that of the man found, this does not mean that Cyrille Picard is dead because a cut foot is not necessarily fatal. However, this reinforces the hypothesis according to which the man was in Charente-Maritime.

The search to find him and the investigation into his disappearance are therefore continuing.
