Murder of Philippine: a minute of silence observed at the Council of

It was time for emotion before launching the debates. This Wednesday morning, Anne Hidalgo solemnly asked the elected officials present in the Council hemicycle to respect a minute of silence in tribute to the young Filipino, 19, found murdered in the de Boulogne last September.

“I would like the entire Parisian community to share in the family’s pain. We want to provide all our support and affection in this dramatic ordeal,” declared the mayor of Paris, before asking the audience to observe this first minute of silence. Several others followed for former elected officials of the capital, who disappeared this year.

The opposition calls for more police in the woods

Right-wing opposition groups have submitted requests for the strengthening of police forces in the woods following the tragedy. Jérémy Redler, mayor of the 16th arrondissement, requests in particular the creation of a specific brigade for the Bois de Boulogne.

Philippine’s body was found largely buried on Saturday September 21 during a hunt in the Bois de Boulogne in Paris (16th century). This macabre discovery occurred 28 hours after the last sign of life given by the victim. The investigation was entrusted to the criminal brigade.

On her way to her parents’ home in Montigny-le-Bretonneux (), Philippine never reached her goal. Worried about not seeing their daughter arrive, her parents tried to contact her by telephone, in vain. The same evening, a relative of the young woman went to the 16th arrondissement police station to report her disappearance.
