A love story full of twists and turns. Starring in the series Tulsa Kingbroadcast this Tuesday, October 8 on M6, Sylvester Stallone is in love like the first day with his wife, Jennifer Flavin. Although they appear to be one of the most glamorous couples in Hollywood, their relationship has often been put to the test. A tumultuous idyll for which they had not prepared. One fine day in 1988, while he was barely recovering from his stormy divorce from his second ex-wife Brigitte Nielsen, Sylvester Stallone crossed paths with Jennifer Flavin. Invited by a mutual acquaintance, the actor and the model meet for the first time around a table in a Hollywood restaurant. Very quickly, the 19-year-old young woman is on her guard against a seductive Sly, surrounded by other girls just as ravishing as her. At the end of this meal, the iconic interpreter of Rocky Balboa suggested that he continue the evening in a nightclub. Once at the nightclub, Sylvester Stallone invites him to take a seat next to him. A tête-à-tête which quickly arouses strong jealousy from one of her rivals. From then on, the lovers take a big step forward. The top model moves into Arnold Schwarzenegger’s friend’s villa in Benedict Canyon, an area on the Westside of the city of Los Angeles. There is total osmosis between them. So much so that Sylvester Stallon and Jennifer Flavin decided to formalize their relationship during a gala organized in Los Angeles in June 1990. If she lived a real fairy tale with Sage and Seargeoh’s father, the pretty blonde saw her world collapsed on March 14, 1994. In a six-page letter, Sylvester Stallone announced the end of their love story. A few days later, his agent revealed the star’s affair with model Janice Dickinson. The latter gave birth to a little girl of whom Sly would be the father. A reunion conducive to the creation of a dynasty
While Jennifer Flavin tries to get back on track after this painful separation, Sylvester Stallone learns in the meantime that he is not the father of the child. Upon discovering the paternity test, he does not hesitate to break up with Janice Dickinson. From then on, the actor Rambo is determined to win back Jennifer’s heart. During the summer of 1995, the lovebirds gave themselves a second chance. Making a clean slate of the past, Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin were quick to welcome their first child, Sophia, born August 27, 1996. A happy event which brought its share of concerns. Shortly after her birth, their little girl had to have open heart surgery.
An ordeal that they overcome hand in hand before saying ‘yes’ to each other for life during a sumptuous wedding in a chapel at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, in May 1997. Their happiness increased tenfold with the arrival of Sistine Rose (in 1998) then of Scarlet Rose (in 2002) in their family. Surrounded by his four wives, Sylvester Stallone is the happiest of men. “I am a very, very lucky man to have such wonderful and loving children who have brought me nothing but joy.”he wrote with gratitude on his Instagram account in 2021. For her part, Jennifer Flavin is delighted with her husband who is “to die of laughter” on a daily basis. “We both love being silly.”she confided in the podcast Unwaxed where she revealed the secrets of their relationship. A divorce request to rekindle the flame
Shortly after making a tender declaration of love to Sylvester Stallone for their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, Jennifer Flavin made an unexpected announcement. The one who became a businesswoman files for divorce and wants to get her maiden name back. According to the confidences of one of their relatives, to the magazine Peoplethe couple “had a lot of problems for years and she had just had enough”. “Divorce is never an easy choice and it’s not fun to deal with, but she thinks it’s for the best”assured this same source.
As divorce proceedings begin, Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin ultimately cannot do without each other. On September 23, 2022, the couple reversed course and got back together. “It was a very tumultuous time. I saw awakening what was more precious than anything, namely my love for my family”the 78-year-old actor told Sunday Times in October 2022. On the occasion of their 27th wedding anniversary, May 17, 2024, Jennifer Flavin loudly proclaimed her love for Sylvester Stallone. “I love you. Forever both of us!”she wrote on her Instagram account. Their separation therefore allowed them to find each other better so as to never leave each other again.
