Jeanfi Janssens is a 50-year-old comedian, whom you surely know for his participation in Big Heads since 2016 in particular. Jeanfi Janssens also spoke on more personal subjects (which is the principle of this show), such as his eating disorders. “At boarding school, you have complete freedom to have anorexia and not eat anything without it showing”he first said, having been educated at a boarding school in his youth. “I was drinking water. I was drinking up to 6 or 7 liters of water a day… I would get up from the chair, my nose would bleed. It was a terrible time”added the comedian.

Today, he has managed to get rid of these problems. But he naturally remains very concerned by this subject: “I understand eating disorders and you need to get help. It’s so important to go see someone who explains it to you. It’s often in relation to the way others see you, to the image that is reflected back to you and in adolescence, it’s terrible, it’s cruel. I invite all young people to consult, to see people. There are really very elaborate structures.”
These eating disorders are also linked to complicated periods of his existence, between the sudden disappearance of his brother, and “his guilt” in the face of this tragedy, or even the financial problems of his family. The main thing being that Jeanfi Janssens is now free from all this, while remaining concerned by this phenomenon which affects nearly a million people in France, according to the World CAW Day website (eating disorders).
