Orchestrated by the company “Aqua do you think”, an extraordinary delivery of a swimming pool took place this Monday, October 7 in the Haute Vallée de l’Aude by air. A delicate operation, which completes an equally exceptional project, costing around 35,000 euros. Reporting.
It took patience for the swimming pool company “Aqua Think-you” to successfully complete its latest project. After a first unsuccessful attempt on Thursday, October 3, and an aborted reflection the next day, it was finally on Monday, October 7 that the high-end swimming pool specialist was able to deliver the shell of its pool to its client in the Haute Vallée. .

The weather also played tricks on the workers present on site. And for good reason: the pool was delivered by helicopter. “As soon as I arrived at the client’s house, I understood that we couldn’t get the shell of the pool through the path that leads to his house, says Thibaud Séguier, sales representative at Aqua Allez-vous, who has just settled in Aude. Very quickly, I told myself that we would have to go by air.”
It is indeed difficult to imagine a hull measuring 10 meters by 4 making its way among the trees, on the narrow road leading to the residence in question. The machines used to carry out the earthworks themselves had to be transported to the hill opposite, then cut across fields to reach the site.

“Usually we use a 5.5 ton excavator, says Joe Bigaul, representing the equipment rental company. There, given the thickness of the rock that had to be broken and removed to dig the hole for the future swimming pool, it was necessary to provide a 6-ton dumper… and therefore take it with a 14-ton excavator.”

According to him, the construction site “accumulates all imaginable difficulties”. An opinion shared by Hamid Hritane, director of the company H-terrassement, who piloted the 14-ton excavator. “These are machines that you don’t see every day on this type of site.”
Despite this spectacular ballet, few residents of the Upper Valley saw the pool weighing more than 1 ton being helicoptered from one hill to another by the HBE R + O company. The area is far enough away not to be visible from the main road. “So much the better, our client wanted absolute discretion”underlines the representative of Aqua Think about it.
20,000 to 35,000 euros
Of him, we will know neither his name, nor his age nor even his profession. Also prohibited from revealing the municipality where the residence is located. Asked about the price, the pool installer also plays the confidentiality card. “I cannot give precise pricing, but generally speaking our projects range from 20,000 to more than 35,000. Obviously given the impossible or even very complicated access we will be in the high range.”

Thibaut Séguier wants above all that we remember “a human adventure”. “Each company that took part in the project, whether Loc +, H-terratisme, HBE R + O or even Patebex which delivered the gravel, made efforts to provide services as quickly and as inexpensively as possible. which means that we remain on a very accessible site, contrary to what one might believe.”
