Memorial day: a tribute to the Escapees

Audrey Méry, deputy mayor, highlighted “the remarkable work carried out by the community of Pyrénées Haut Garonnaises communes in terms of signage and referencing trails to make them accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities”. Maxime Saint-Germes, director of the national office for veterans and victims of war, considered that “the preservation of peace was a common issue that everyone must defend and protect.” At the end of the various interventions, Eugénie Berrocq sang the . Flag bearers, association presidents and students were warmly thanked by Jacques Simon for their participation in this day dedicated to the Second World War at the foot of the Pyrenees and the escapes.
