a carjacking confirmed at the end of the day, a few hours after the locks were lifted

The RP1 had only been open for a few hours when a new carjacking was already reported in Mont-Dore. Information confirmed this Saturday, October 5 by the police in the early evening.

The relief was only short-lived. This Saturday, the police confirmed a carjacking at the end of the day on the RP1. An attack that occurred on the first day of the lifting of the locks, after months of closure of the axis at the level of the Saint-Louis tribe. According to law enforcement, “It happened at the end of the opening slot. Young people jumped on a motorist and hit him before disappearing into the tribe with the vehicle.”

As a reminder, the locks must be lifted every day from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. until October 18.

The axis is, however, secured by a large police force. “We don’t necessarily see them, but the gendarmes are there. The gendarmerie is very present. The gendarmerie will be present as much as necessary, until this axis is completely secure, until the population who uses the axis is completely reassured”indicated General Nicolas Matthéos earlier in the day. Some 200 gendarmes and several centaurs are present along the axis.

A little earlier, in a press release from Génération Mont-Dore, Nina Julié assured what stones were reported yesterday Friday and this morning.

News which also caused the Mondorian Citizen association to react.
