“Let’s talk about floods, let’s talk about water” this Saturday at the Clément Marot space – Medialot

Day intended for both the general public and children aged 5 to 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Water is our most precious common good. Climate change has a greater impact on our daily uses each year and exposes our territories to increased risks for which we must prepare more than ever. Among them, flood risk requires everyone to be informed from an early age. This is the meaning of this entire day of discovery and awareness open to families, children and adults. Because water is everyone’s business, let’s talk about floods, let’s talk about water! » Lance Rémi Branco, president of the territorial public establishment of the Lot basin (EPTB Lot). This structure is organizing an exceptional day of free activities and workshops on water and flooding, this Saturday October 5 at the Clément Marot Congress space in Cahors, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Aimed at both the general public and children aged 5 to 15, this day promises to be both fun and informative.

On the program, a multitude of interactive activities adapted to young people: role-playing games, reverse escape games, educational games and model animations around water and flood management. These moments allow you to learn while having fun while raising participants’ awareness of environmental issues and the importance of resilience in the face of flooding in the Lot.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to discover a striking photo exhibition on the floods which affected the Lot basin, with particularly striking photos of Cahors.

The day will end with the show by the Compagnie Essentiel Ephémère, “Yes, but what if that happened…? » at 5:00 p.m. at the Auditorium of the Cahors Conservatory.
