The issue of flooding will be highlighted by Greater Avignon and the municipality of Rochefort-du-Gard on Thursday October 10. Educational information activities for young schoolchildren during the day and a film debate evening open to all (on prior registration) are organized that same day at Castelas. Two episodes of the show It’s not rocket science will be offered to the public: one on the risk of flooding and the other on devastating floods. Testimonies from disaster victims will follow the screening in order to provide their experiences of the floods of September 8 and 9, 2002. This event is part of the All Resilient to Risks day, set up by the government. It helps raise awareness of natural and technological risks and thus prepares each citizen to adopt good behavior in the event of a disaster. The evening will end with an aperitif offered to the public.
