True colors Industries Moccasin + Python II cables

Ireland, one of the major whiskey producing countries, is also home to cables with evocative names, Moccasin for the modulation cable and Python II for the HP cable, both produced by True Colors Industries, a company founded in the mid-1990s. 1980 in Belfast (Northern Ireland). The Moccasin with a pseudo-symmetrical pattern is made of PC-OFC copper conductors (Pure Copper-Oxygen Free Copper) and receives double shielding for increased protection against radio frequencies. The Python II speaker cable uses independent silver-plated copper conductors insulated by a braided PVC and polyester jacket, with banana ends z-plug welded directly to the cable (light, handle with care). The solders are silver for good conductivity. When it comes to such affordable cables, it should be noted that simplicity equals felicity. Indeed, as soon as the chorus of Mermaids by Lili Boulanger (extract B), no metaphysical questioning: this choir is very much alive, it pulses and transmits its presence in a communicative way, supported by an almost leaping pianoforte. The Moccasin-Python II association still faithfully serves the very beautiful sound recording of the duo Truls Mørk (cello), Havard Gimse (piano) in Frank Bridge’s evocative sonata (Sonata for cello and piano era minor H.125 (second movement). Alpha. Available on CD and on Qobuz in 24 Bits/96 kHz. Diapason d’or.). Energy, space and timbres of this capture are coherent; the TCI give an expert reading, unexpected coming from such an apparently modest combo. To be enjoyed without ice cream.
