In Quintin, the parish is organizing its back-to-school day on Sunday, October 13

Sunday October 13, it will be the turn of the parish of Quintin to return to school. After a first experience of back-to-school meetings last year and seeing the good feedback, the decision was made to repeat the experience. This friendly day of sharing is scheduled for Sunday October 13 at the Jean 23 high school. The nine relays of the parish are involved, and it is open to all. The objective is to launch the parish year, to welcome newcomers, to create links, all generations combined.

“Lourdes” at the Le Rochonen cinema

The day will begin with a mass in the high school chapel. A free aperitif will follow, offered to all. Then it’s time for a shared community meal in the establishment’s cafeteria, for which it is possible to register until this Saturday, October 5 inclusive. The day will continue, and it is a public meeting open to all, at the Le Rochonen cinema which will screen the documentary film “Lourdes”, by Thierry Demaizière and Alban Teurlai. The session will be followed by a sharing of experiences between the participants.

Father Elias as reinforcement

This day will also be an opportunity to welcome Father Élias Hodogbé, originally from Togo, who will chair this intergenerational day. Ordained priest in 2012, after serving seven years in the Marie-Reine du Mone parish in Bé, then priest for five years in the commune of the archdiocese of Lomé, he was designated to go to , where he came to Quintin to complete the The team of Father Serge Kougnandé in charge of the Notre-Dame des Sources pastoral community. Father Elias, cooperator priest, will reside in Quintin with Father Hervé Vitouley. Referent priest in the parish of Quintin, he will also be in charge of catechism for young people.
