Flavie Flament and Julien Arnaud, the new faces of “Télématin”, were unable to present their show, the result of a strike on the public service channels.

TELEVISION – “ Hello everyone and welcome to Télématin! “. This usual phrase in the morning on France 2, viewers of the public service channel did not hear it this Tuesday, October 1.

Now at the helm of the morning show Telematin since the start of the school year, the presenters Flavie Flament and Julien Arnaud have seen their morning program canceled and removed from the day’s schedule, like many broadcasts and news programs planned on France Télévisions this Tuesday morning.

In question? A strike launched by several unions on a national scale, which provoked a series of rebroadcasts on the antennas of France 2. In addition to Telematinthe news slot from 6 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. presented by Jean-Baptiste Marteau was also canceled. And on Franceinfo, television broadcasting is experiencing numerous disruptions. This is why reports are broadcast over and over on the news channel this Tuesday morning.

Repeal the pension reform

The CGT, Solidaires and FSU are the three unions at the origin of this social movement in which they were also joined by youth organizations. The strike affects many other sectors such as transport this Tuesday. A strike also launched to demand the repeal of the pension reform on the day when Prime Minister Michel Barnier is due to deliver a general policy speech to the Assembly. The social movement also includes an increase in wages among its demands.

At France Télévisions, it is also the government project to reform the public service which is pushing many civil servants into the streets.

A little less than 200 rallies are planned in France this Tuesday, despite the absence of several major unions which refused to reform the union which had carried out the standoff against pension reform. Thus the CFDT, FO, the CGE-CGC, the CFTC and the Unsa will not be present in the 179 gathering places identified by the CGT on Sunday across the country.
