Interview
Benoit Savard Rosealias “Béna”, guitarist, singer, songwriter of the group Les Yeux d’La Tête.
You usually perform at festivals. Why did you agree to play in Quintin’s room, which is not very big?
We love to play all year round. Fortunately there are venues like that of Quintin to host great shows in good conditions when the outdoor season comes to an end. Playing indoors is just as great a pleasure, with more of a direct relationship with the audience.
So is direct contact with the public more of a choice?
Yes absolutely. We like to share with our audience, warmly and this exchange is more conducive in rooms on a human scale. We began our career by traveling to the café-concerts of Paris and France. This is what strengthened us and gave us the desire to continue. We love it!
Your repertoire sticks quite closely to that of the Street Singers. Do you have a special program planned for Saturday?
Each concert is unique. Of course you will have the pleasure of hearing our greatest hits because the public expects that. But there will also be new, unreleased pieces, taken from the next album currently being created, and moments of discussion dedicated to the Street Singers festival. Between songs, we like to chat, liven up the room and the Bretons are known to have a good response. It looks exciting!
So what do you expect from the public in Quintin?
Let him do himself some good. Whether he comes with friends or family to have a good time, listen to good music, a little poetry and above all leave everyday problems at home. A concert hall is a sacred place where moments happen like nowhere else. We want to see the audience dancing, singing, laughing and maybe crying. Let people feel like they had a good evening.
Saturday, at 9 p.m., at the village hall, concert with Les Yeux d’La Tête. Doors, bar and catering open from 7 p.m. Price: €17 by reservation (Yurplan and Le Marque-Page bookstore) or on site (possibility of paying by credit card).
