Yves P. Pelletier looks back on the death of his brother with an important reminder

Yves P. Pelletier took the time to talk about a very important subject while he celebrated his brother who unfortunately died at the age of only 20.

It was on his Facebook page that he shared an old photo of him and his brother when they were young, accompanied by a powerful message on the details of the death of his brother who was hit by a car in 1984.

“Placed on a shelf in my office, this photo is part of my daily life. We see me there alongside my brother François and our dog Cléo, probably when we were watching TV in 1974 (Six Million Dollar Man? Daniel Boone? La Petite Patrie?). Today, September 28, 2024, François would have been 61 years old. His life ended in the spring of 1984. He was 20 years old. He was run over on a sidewalk on St-Laurent Street by a drunk driver. It’s been 40 years this year. Whether I look at this photo or not, I think of him every day. But on September 28, his birthday, there is always a surge of emotions: a scar that heats up, a heart that breaks, a head that rebels. A vehicle can become a lethal weapon. Driven by an intoxicated person, or consumed by their phone, this probability increases exponentially. When driving, let’s pay attention to others. Let’s take care of ourselves.”

This is a very important message that the actor is trying to convey to his audience.

Since this type of accident is not forgiving…

All our thoughts to Yves P. Pelletier and his family. Hoping that his words resonate with as many people as possible.
