“What happened yesterday is a shame”

During an event held in a hall on Madrid’s Gran Vía, the Brazilian gave his point of view on what happened at the Metropolitano.

The legendary ex-Real Madrid left-back, Roberto Carlos, analyzed Sunday’s Madrid derby during an event during which he presented his new hamburger, in collaboration with the famous fast-food chain Burger King.

“What concerns me most is the image of Spanish football. We will wait for the Federation to take the necessary decisions so that this situation of stopping a match for 20 minutes does not happen again. I live in Spain for many years and this should not happen. It was a shame. It’s time to fix it.

Measures to put an end to these episodes:
“Those in charge have to do what they have to do. I don’t care about the club, what I want is for Spanish football to do well.”

Simeone’s words: “Everyone has their own opinion. I could comment if Ancelotti had said something because he is the coach of my team. Simeone is not from my club. I have the utmost respect and affection for him and it is normal that he defends his colors We know the world of football Simeone is a great coach, but in the end, yesterday was a bad image.

Courtois’ attitude: “I’m not going to criticize the attitude of the supporters. Everyone knows when they’re wrong. I think they’re wrong a little bit because Courtois didn’t throw the lighters back into the stands either. He didn’t made no gesture and did not insult anyone.”

Racism in Spain: “Vinicius may have said a few sentences but it was an interview and if he makes a mistake I will pull his ears. Vinicius should be treated with affection. I don’t think Spain is a racist country. All these things around Vini, that’s enough. The insults about being black. I’m black too and I’m happy about that.

Hooded people in the stands: “Yesterday was very sad. I have a lot of affection for the Atlético supporters, but what happened yesterday is not normal. The image is brutal. I think I I have already seen in Mexico. The image of the hooded men impresses me. They were already prepared for something, it was very strange.

Atletico’s final celebration with their Ultras: “The best people to talk to are the captain and the coach. It’s a strange image. I don’t want to think about a serious act because who am I to say anything…”

The role of Vinicius: “Vini is very calm. He knows he is very close to being the best in the world. He played great matches last season and this year we are trying to make him more relaxed in the stands and the Ballon d’Or is there. I’m sure he’ll win it.
