This Thursday, September 27 in the evening, around 9:50 p.m., the Gard firefighters intervened quickly on the A9 motorway, in the Montpellier-Orange direction near Fournès, to control a light vehicle (VL) fire. . The fire broke out on the emergency lane (BAU), before spreading to the surrounding vegetation.
300 m2 of burnt brush
Alerted, emergency services immediately deployed means to contain the flames. Thanks to rapid and effective intervention, they managed to limit the spread to an area of 300 m² of bushes, thus avoiding greater damage.
Agents from the ASF company (Autoroutes du Sud de la France) were mobilized to secure the area and allow firefighters to work safely on this busy section of motorway. For their part, the gendarmerie forces were also present on the scene to regulate traffic and ensure the safety of motorists.
