“I don’t want to be disloyal to Télévisions, but…”

The 8 p.m. news 2 has had a makeover. Since September 9, the news presented by Anne-Sophie Lapix during the week and Laurent Delahousse on the weekend has seen its duration extended by 20 minutes. “It is obvious that we would like to have more audiences but that is not what guided us. It is the desire to make a different newspaper adapted to our times, with more decryptions“, the presenter recently explained in the columns of 7 Days TV. “We also want to provide evidence, to differentiate from rumor and fake news. Faced with the frantic pace of what we call infobesity, we take the time and explain.

During an interview given to Buzz TV This Thursday, September 26, Claire Chazal spoke out on this editorial choice of the management of France Télévisions. Although she has been working in the public service since 2016, the 67-year-old journalist admitted to having been surprised by the extension of the news from 8 p.m. France 2 : “I don’t want to be disloyal to France Télévisions, everyone makes their own choices naturally. But having this experience, frankly, I would never have done it!
