The beautiful Italian day once again wowed the public

After an official opening in the centre of the village with exhibitors offering all kinds of artisanal products, the second edition of L’Italie à Caissargues, organised by the twinning committee in partnership with the municipality, attracted many people to the courtyard of the Château de Tzaut on Saturday 21 September.

On site, the caterers allowed visitors to taste Sardinian, Sicilian and Italian specialties, while the Zampano duo successfully enlivened the meal time, performing Italian songs.

Various activities enhanced this Italian day, including the presence of the pin-up girls, the Redettes, from the Red Mama Event association, who came from Manduel, and the Caissargue majorettes, the Motivettes, who played the game by wearing an outfit in the colours of Italy.

For the first time, Mademoiselle Languedoc took part in this event, in the presence of the title holder, Marine Reynard. Visitors also admired the old Vespas of the Nîmes association of the Vespa club Némausus, which completed this “dolce vita” atmosphere.

Reflection on the date

The town took on the air of Venice thanks to a dozen people from the Reflets de Venise association, based in Sauvian. They paraded through the streets, dressed in traditional Venetian costumes, making photographers happy.

“Despite last-minute withdrawals among exhibitors, we are still satisfied with the second edition of our Italian day, emphasize the members of the twinning committee. We had excellent feedback from the public, and the caterers did a great job.” “We are going to meet with the municipality and our entire team to make improvements to the running of our day, with a refocusing of the activities and perhaps a change of date,” explains Serge Escande, the secretary of the committee and initiator of this event.
