Several airlines have suspended flights to Beirut

Lebanese Middle East Airlines continues to operate from Beirut airport, but its flights are full. “Our flights are overbooked due to cancellations by other airlines”said a source within the company, wishing to remain anonymous. “There are no seats available, for any destination, before Sunday”she said.

Suspension of Air flights

In the West, Air France and its low-cost subsidiary Transavia have decided to suspend flights until October 1 inclusive. However, Air France’s connections to Tel Aviv have resumed. The German group Lufthansa, which also includes the airlines Swiss, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines, has suspended its connections to Beirut until October 26 and those with Tel Aviv and Tehran until October 14 inclusive.

The American company Delta Air Lines has suspended its service between New York and Tel Aviv until the end of the year. The British company British Airways, which does not operate any flights to Lebanon, has suspended its connections to Tel Aviv until Thursday inclusive, citing the security situation in the region.
