In its race, its wheels bit into the ditch… and the machine continued its course as far as the road, on which it got in the way. There was nothing the driver could do to prevent the crusher from rolling over.
This chipper shredder also towed a trailer platform on which a Peugeot brand utility vehicle was attached. In the accident, the vehicle was crushed under the juggernaut.
The driver, coming from the Haute-de-France region, is fortunately unscathed and cannot explain what could have happened. The Peugeot brand van was crushed in the accident.
Three gendarmes from Châteauvillain went to the scene to secure the scene. The road was completely cut around 4:45 p.m., and a specialized repairman was expected on site for the lifting operations of the heavy machine. The operations were going to take some time before being able to reopen the axis to traffic.
