The comedy duo left with a paltry sum, after following the advice of the joker “Vox Populi”.
« Who wants to be a millionaire » made his return on September 20, for the broadcast of the first special edition celebrating the 25th anniversary of the cult game show on TF1. Having moved on to present these two new editions (the second will be broadcast on September 27), Arthur dressed up to the nines to welcome his distinguished guests, including Florence Foresti, Léa Salamé, Michel Boujenah, Jean-Luc Lemoine, Jeff Panacloc, and Jean-Pierre Foucault. The show’s historic presenter did not hesitate to move to the other side of the interrogation, as he had already done when he handed over to Camille Combal during the 2019 reboot.
Here is the list of personalities from the 25th anniversary of “Who wants to be a millionaire” with Arthur
For this special edition, the production had prepared a small novelty at the level of the jokers, with the introduction of the “Vox Populi”, which was to allow the candidates to consult a person directly designated by them in the audience. Quickly used from the first round, this new process proved its worth, while allowing the audience to be less passive and to interact with the guests. But during the round of Jarry and Kev Adamsnot everything went as planned. Stuck on a spelling question, the duo called on a certain Badia, who seemed sure she had identified a mistake in answer C. According to her, the word “exhortation” was not spelled correctly.

Despite Jarry’s doubts, they decided to follow Badia’s advice and waited for long minutes in suspense. Finally, Arthur revealed to them that the error was in proposal A, which included the word “exorbitant”, instead of its correct form “exorbitant”. While they had reached 4000 euros in winnings and were trying to climb to 8000 euros, the comedians had to go back down to the 1000 euro level. In front of their TV, Internet users happily made fun of this new joker and even noticed that it had not been used by the following candidates.
