Julie Taton’s replacement on the Mons en Mieux list has been designated and she is another presenter!

The former Miss Belgium’s domicile in Mons has been the subject of debate for weeks. This Wednesday, the courts have taken another position. It is no. Julie Taton has therefore resigned herself when the appeal court confirmed the decision of the municipal college to invalidate her registration on the voters’ register. The former presenter has also been ordered to pay €1,800 to the municipal college.

Host and columnist

Mons en Mieux cannot “move” a candidate from its list to move her up to second place. It was therefore necessary to find, at the last moment, a replacement who will occupy the second position. It is done.

This is Nora , host and columnist for Télé MB, notably in the shows “Et si on prend l’air?”, “Ma maison, mon histoire”, or the talk show “C’est pas si composé”. The 30-year-old is also a coordinator within the team of the Mons International Film Festival. She has also created her own line of jewelry. “A new adventure begins, it’s a beautiful sprint that begins”, rejoiced Nora Arras during the press conference.

Nora Arras didn’t think until a few days ago that she would take on such a challenge, but a discussion with Georges-Louis Bouchez triggered the idea. “We met two weeks ago at the Festifood in Mons. We noticed that we complemented each other well in terms of the cultural aspect of things but also in terms of education. Unfortunately, there was a problem with Julie Taton in the meantime. I thought back to our discussion and decided to offer myself to complete the list. The train only comes once. I told myself that I had to seize this opportunity.”

Culture is logically one of the priorities of the Montoise. Education is also a theme that does not leave her indifferent. “Fernand Rolland, my grandfather, was a school principal. It is thanks to his education and that of my mother that I developed a real capacity for openness and listening. Culture and education are closely linked, they are fundamental ambitions in our beautiful city of Mons. I am convinced that many things can still be done.”

“Not a replacement”

Georges-Louis Bouchez did not hide his pride in welcoming Nora Arras to his team, especially at such short notice. “It was not easy to find someone to take Julie Taton’s place,” he explained. “We needed someone with personality, there were not many profiles. Making culture more accessible is precisely one of our objectives. She is proud of her city and its heritage. She is not a replacement but a 46e candidate. »

Julie Taton is not forgotten, since she becomes spokesperson for the Mons en Mieux group.
