Here is the release date and price of the new Decathlon electric VTC equipped with the famous “magic” engine

During a press day that Frandroid attended, a product manager gave us the release window and final price of the Rockrider E-ACTV 900. As a reminder, the latter belongs to the electric VTC category and is equipped with the famous Owuru engine, equipped with an automatic gearbox.

The Rockrider E-ACTV 900 is not unknown to our services. We already told you about it in March, when Frandroid got his hands on an internal Decathlon document that had been leaked at the time. Then, we took it in hand for a few kilometers at Eurobike 2024, the largest bike show in Europe where the cycle was exhibited.

At the time, the French brand had not yet definitively decided on the price and release date of its cycle. It is now done, as a product manager told us during a press day. The Rockrider E-ACTV 900 will arrive at the end of October, or even the beginning of November, at a price of 2,699 euros.

A reduced price

This is good news, because in July we mentioned a higher price, at 2,990 euros. So it’s even more competitive than we thought. And this electric VTC has a major asset up its sleeve, which could make more than one person crack: the Owuru enginewhich incorporates an automatic gearbox. In short: you don’t have to do anything, the bike does everything for you.

If you would like to get a more precise idea of this engine, we invite you to consult our test of the LD 920 E, also equipped with the Owuru engine.

For the rest, the Rockrider E-ACTV 900 will be available in three colors: green, light gray and champagne. It is based on a suspension fork with a travel of 80 mm, a 694 Wh battery claiming a range of 130 km (probably in Eco mode) or even Bluetooth connectivity with a dedicated application.

For all sizes

Two frame sizes will be offered: a lower frame in S, M and L, as well as a higher frame in M, L and XL. The idea is to be able to adapt to as many body shapes as possible.
