Just like Dyson with its stick vacuum cleaners, Philips has established itself in the field of connected lighting, particularly with its Hue bulbs and lamps. They work via WiFi or Bluetooth and allow you to have personalized lighting depending on your mood and the time of day. In addition, they are accompanied by two accessories, one of which is almost indispensable: the connection bridge.

Why choose Philips Hue E27 White?

  • Super intuitive installation
  • Variable intensity, from bright white to warm yellow
  • Google, Alexa and Apple HomeKit compatible

Normally, this pack with three Philips Hue White E27 connected bulbs, a connection bridge and a remote control that also works as a dimmer costs 99.99 euros. But, right now at Darty, it is available for only 64.99 euros.

Light bulbs so you don’t have to touch the switch anymore

If you’ve ever wanted to start a smart home setup, light bulbs are a good place to start. Especially Philips Hue like the E27 models shown here, which simply snap into place of your existing bulbs. Once the Hue E27s are screwed in, you turn on the light and then launch the Philips Hue app on your smartphone to set them up.

All you have to do is connect them to your WiFi or to the connection bridge provided in this pack. This is also highly recommended because by configuring the Hue Bridge, you can take full advantage of the bulbs by controlling them by voice with your smartphone or an assistant such as Google, Alexa and even Siri if you have Apple HomeKit. The bridge also allows you to connect up to 50 Philips devices and synchronize them, where without, you are limited to 10 per room.

You can create any mood you want

These bulbs don’t just light up: you can adjust the brightness of each of them and choose the warmth of the lighting. So, you go from bright white to a relaxing yellow, more or less powerful. With a voice command like “OK Google, dim the living room” or “Alexa, turn on the bedroom light”, you can control everything by voice.

Still through the app, you can program routines, with bulbs that turn on/off at certain times, with a more or less warm intensity and color. This does not prevent you from controlling the light manually, because in addition in the pack, you have a remote control that also acts as a dimmer. You can use it like that or fix it to the wall, like a switch, connect it to the connection bridge and that’s it.

The hub is absolutely essential for proper operation, but there is a downside: if it ever breaks down or has a problem, all the bulbs connected to it are no longer functional.
