What to see in during Heritage Days?

From September 20 to 22, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Museum of the Resistance, the BFM and the City of Art and History department of will participate in the European Heritage Days.

The City of Limoges is offering various free activities this weekend as part of Heritage Days.

Museum of Fine Arts

Exceptional opening from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m., “Maritime heritage and… bikini” game trail (looking for a mischievous bikini hidden in the heart of a series of paintings).

Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., “From the Palace to the Sky”, one-hour guided tour of the museum, ending on the roof (reservation required at 05.55.45.98.10).

Saturday 21 at 3 p.m., guided tour of the collections in sign language (duration 1 hour; reservation required at 05.55.45.98.10).
Sunday at 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., visits/meetings with the artist Natacha Baluteau who exhibits at the museum (duration 20 minutes, reservation required at 05.55.45.98.10).

Museum of the Resistance

Exceptional opening from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday at 4 p.m., show “À mon frère” by the Le K company, on the Pierre Dac route (duration 1 hour, from 10 years old).
Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., presentation of a model reconstructing the Pegasus Bridge (historic site of the Landings).

Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., model-making workshop, from 8 years old (reservation at 05.55.45.84.43 or [email protected]).

Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., games afternoon with the La Cité des Jeux games library on the theme of the First World War.

BFM center

Friday at 3 p.m., conference on the history of Art Deco woodwork in Limoges-Bénédictins.

Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., exhibition on maritime heritage.
Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., sale of documents from the old collections of the BFM. Periodicals: €2 per issue; single monographs: €2, €4, €6, €10, €20; established series: €10, €20.

Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., guided tours of the collections of the legal deposit printer (registration required at 05.55.45.96.00).

Marceau Barracks

Saturday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., guided tour to discover the history of this place, in partnership with the third place Bâtiment 25 (duration 1 hour 30 minutes; register at 05.55.45.85.26).

Banks of Vienna

Saturday at 6:30 p.m., storytelling and musical walk with Occitanist Jean-François Vignaud (duration 2 hours; register at 05.55.45.85.26).

Turgot Circle

Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., visit of the site (duration 30 minutes, departure on presentation of a ticket to be collected on site).

City Hall

Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., guided tour (duration 45 minutes, departure on presentation of a ticket to be collected on site).
