A new system will be put in place, starting September 18, to obtain the appointment of visas for the France and check the identity of applicants by video call At Rabat visa centerannounced TLScontact on its website.
Types of visas concerned
THE types of visas affected by the new system include the first applications for the family, tourist or private visits, scientists or researchers, professional trips, employee internships, cultural, artistic, scientific or sporting events (including one-off missions), as well as for employees in the service of a foreigner or a French national.
A new procedure to follow to obtain a visa appointment
To get the appointment, the visa application form must be completed on the site France-Visasfollowed by an inscription on the TLScontact website with the required information. Once the request is validated, a confirmation screen appears, indicating that the request has been taken into account.
THE TLS call center then contact the applicant for a video call in order to verify his identity, during which he must present his passport to the camera.
After this verification, a e-mail informs of the result and, if the verification is positive, an appointment is assigned within the limit of available slots. On the day of the appointment, the service charge are settled on site, without prepayment.
The request is kept for 45 days, from the day of the confirmation by video calland if no appointment is assigned during this period, a new registration will be necessary to request an appointment again.
This new process was introduced, according to TLScontactin order to protect visa applicants from fraudulent and expensive networks of third-party agencies appointment booking.
