Wejdene supports her partner Koba LaD, involved in a fatal accident

The 20-year-old singer, partner of the rapper involved in a fatal accident, breaks her silence a week after the incident.

Wejdene breaks her silence. A week after the accident in Créteil of a car driven by Koba LaD, in which a passenger was killed, the singer and partner of the rapper published a message on social networks to express her support.

“We know who you are and we know how much you loved Will,” she wrote in an Instagram story on Monday, September 16, referring to the front passenger who died in the accident, born in 1994, a friend of Koba LaD.

“I would like the world to see who you really are, as I see you,” she added.

“The battles you fight in silence, and the demons you try to overcome. You lost your brother and I know how devastated you are. I will always be there, no matter what they say,” adds the 20-year-old singer, in reference to her partner’s detractors. To whom she addresses herself directly:

“We are human beings despite the notoriety. You have been spouting atrocities for days without anyone telling you anything.”

In another Instagram story, Wejdene pays tribute to the victim of the accident: “My friend, my big brother, I still can’t believe that you’re no longer here (…) You leave behind a big void.”

Indicted

Koba LaD, 24, was leaving a studio on the night of Tuesday 10 September to Wednesday 11 September and was taking a friend home when he hit a heavy goods vehicle, his lawyers told BFMTV. The front passenger died while the rear passenger, born in 1999, was slightly injured.

The rapper, who was under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident, was “charged with aggravated involuntary manslaughter and aggravated involuntary injury and placed in pre-trial detention,” the Créteil prosecutor’s office told AFP.

On Saturday, September 14, Koba LaD broke his silence to say he was “devastated by the tragic loss of (his) friend”: “I will be there for his family until the end of my days,” he continued.

Already sentenced in 2020

Koba LaD was sentenced in 2020 to a three-month suspended prison sentence and 140 hours of community service for a car accident in . He fled after the incident, before reporting to the police three days later.

He was also given a four-month driving ban during an appearance on prior admission of guilt (plea bargaining procedure).
