Coquerel intends to go to Matignon to demand the ceiling letters

In search of a balanced and renewed government, Michel Barnier finds himself under pressure from the right, his political family, which he received again this Monday, and from the Macronists who would like to limit its weight, while crucial budgetary deadlines are approaching.

Michel Barnier also received Laurent Hénart for the radical party, Gabriel Attal, leader of the Macronist deputies, but also Charles de Courson, general rapporteur of the budget and executive of the small centrist group Liot.

There is hardly any magic formula and the government should not be known “before Sunday”, according to the spokesperson for the Les Républicains (LR) deputies, Vincent Jeanbrun.

Michel Barnier has “a complex equation to solve” to form an executive that will have to include “people who have experience” to get the budget passed, adds the MP. The finance bill should in principle be presented to the National Assembly on October 1.
