It is in the heart of the 16th century that France 2 viewers will be immersed this Monday evening with Fortune de France, a historical fresco directed by Christopher Thompson. In this six-episode series, we will be able to follow the adventures of Jean de Siorac (Nicolas Duvauchelle), a young nobleman living in the magnificent Périgord Noir during the terrible period of the Wars of Religion, opposing the Catholics and the Protestants.

“Fortune de France”, a literary saga that has sold several million copies

If you want to delve into the written version of Fortune de France by Robert Merle, you're going to need a little time. Because this prolific author, who died in 2004, wrote 13 volumes of his saga, between 1977 and 2003.
