Storm Herminia crosses France, causing major disruptions. In Nantes, the overflow of the Gesvres, amplified by heavy rains, forced the closure of a section of the eastern ring road between the Portes de la Beaujoire and de la Chapelle early this morning. Alternative routes have been put in place, but rush hour could complicate the situation.
To deal with this situation, the authorities have decided to close this section in order to ensure the safety of users. In response, alternative routes were reported: the route “S6» from the Porte de la Beaujoire and “S8» via the A811 from Porte d’Anjou allows you to join the ring road at Porte de Gesvres.
However, this closure coincides with the start of rush hour, which could complicate traffic. Despite these alternatives, secondary routes risk being saturated, increasing travel times for users.
