“After the first day in the breakaway, I felt pretty good. I had in mind to set a good time. I concentrated and prepared myself. I did my best and in the end I’m really happy. The legs are really good and I hope that this will be the case until the end of the Tour in order to be in good shape for the Tour of Algeria right after”confided Aurélien de Comarmond.

Note that Aurélien de Comarmond is on the podium in the mountain classification with 6 points. The jersey is worn by the Emirati Rashid Mohammad Ibrahim Al Blooshi who has 10 points, while Aparicio also finds himself with 6 points.

“The level is very high and we knew it was going to be difficult to achieve a result. We just want to honor the organizers by being active in the race. We were represented in the breakaway during the first two stages and today (yesterday), Aurélien took 14th place in the time trial, which is a very good result against very good riders, notably professionals. Tomorrow (today) is the big day with lots of climbs. Aurélien is 2ᵉ in the mountain classification. We’ll see how he feels and if it’s possible to grab a few points to take on the best climber jersey. In any case, it’s a very good experience for all the runners”analyzes, for his part, Trevor Court, the sporting director of the Mauritian selection.

Today, the queen stage of this 2025 edition of the Tour of Sharjah is taking place. Designed between Al Hefaiyah Lake and Al Suhub, this 4th stage is 132.32 km long and includes 3 climbs of 3rd category, one of 2nd category and ends with a first category pass. Notable changes are expected in the general ranking.
