A 24-year-old young man was stabbed to death in Orléans (Loiret) last Friday and his partner’s ex-spouse was placed in pre-trial detention on Sunday, announced Emmanuelle Bochenek-Puren, public prosecutor of Orléans.
The prosecution opened “a judicial investigation into the counts of assassination and attempted assassination,” the prosecutor told AFP, confirming information from the Central Republic.
The events took place late Friday morning. The suspect, aged 20, was immediately taken into custody, added the same source.
-According to La République du Center, the victim was treated by firefighters in cardio-respiratory arrest and died from his injuries.
The investigations were entrusted to investigators from the local judicial police service of the interdepartmental direction of the national police in Orléans.
