kyiv, January 26 (Xinhua)- Ukrainian forces struck the installations of the Riazan oil refinery in western Russia, for the second time in less than a week, said the state Major General of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in a press release.
According to the press release, explosions and fires were recorded in the targeted area following the attack.
“The Riazan oil refinery is one of the four largest refineries in the Russian Federation. The company notably produces diesel fuel and Kerosene TS-1,” said the press release.
-It was involved in the supply of fuel to the Russian army.
The general staff indicated that the Ukrainian missile forces had also struck the advanced command post of the operational group of the Pacific Russian fleet near the locality of Korenevo, in the Koursk region, also in the west of Russia. No other details concerning this attack was provided.■
