Mikko Rantanen, Taylor Hall, Martin Necas and Jack Drury were all shut out in their first game with their new team. The last two could recover today and they did not miss their opportunity to do so. They participated well in a 5-4 victory in the extremes of the Colorado Avalanche over the New York Rangers.

In the first minutes of the game, Jack Drury opened the scoring with his fourth goal of the season, a first in an Avs uniform. Nothing too sexy, but a nice deflection of a point shot to break the ice. At the same time, the attacker reached the plateau of 10 points this season.

Less than a minute later, Cale Makar scored his 17th of the season on a pass from Martin Necas. A great play entering the zone from the former Hurricanes to obtain his first point in an Avalanche uniform. Obviously, Nathan Mackinnon got the second assist!

Then, with five minutes left in the first, Makar scored his second of the game, this time on the power play. The star defender had the puck handed to him by Mackinnon, who had just received it from… Martin Necas. Two points, therefore, for the newcomer to the Avs.

Martin Necas spent 19:34 on the ice in the entire game, not adding another point after a successful first period. He finished the game with a differential of -1. Jack Drury got around 12 minutes of ice time. The Avalanche escaped with a 5-4 victory thanks to a winning goal from Artturi Lehkonen at the very end of the game!
