Official Starting Lineups – Lecce Vs Inter Milan: Davide Frattesi Starts

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to start Davide Frattesi in midfield against Lecce. This evening’s Serie A matchday 22 clash kicks off at 18.00 CET.

Inter are looking to respond to Napoli’s Serie A win over Juventus yesterday.

The Partenopei’s victory has really put the pressure on for the Nerazzurri to take three points to keep up at the top end of the table.

Inter are facing Lecce away in Serie A. The Giallorossi may be at the bottom end of the table – however, they will have plenty of motivation to try and get a surprise result.

Meanwhile, Inter have crunch clashes with Monaco and AC Milan on the way.

Therefore, Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi is looking for a balance between playing regular starters and also making a few changes in terms of squad rotation.

Firstly, in goal, it is Yann Sommer. Therefore, the former Bayern Munich keeper continues his streak of starting every match in Serie A so far this season.

Then, in defense, Matteo Darmian takes the place of Benjamin Pavard. Therefore, he completes the back three alongside Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni.

In midfield, however, there are big changes.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan keeps his place from Wednesday’s win over Sparta Prague, but Piotr Zielinski replaces Kristjan Asllani at the base of midfield.

Then, the big name on the team sheet is that of midfielder Davide Frattesi.

Frattesi has not started a Serie A match in three months, and has been linked with a move to Roma during the January transfer window.

However, the Italian international starts. Therefore, Nicolo Barella has a chance to catch his breath.

Then, on the flanks it is Denzel Dumfries and Carlos Augusto who start.

Lastly, in attack the usual first-choice pairing of Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram lead the line despite some reports from the buildup to the match that Marko Arnautovic could start.

On the bench, meanwhile, Francesco Acerbi is back after being absent against Sparta Prague.
