Predicted Freiburg against Bayern Munich Xis: forced changes for the team of Vincent Kompany

Vincent Kompany will be forced to two changes when his side of Bayern Munich will face Freiburg at Europa Park on Saturday afternoon. Konrad Laimer has accumulated five yellow cards in the Bundesliga and will miss the confrontation while Alphonso Davies is sidelined between two and three weeks after sparking a muscle injury in the 3-0 defeat of Rekordmeister in Feyenoord.

The Belgian suggested that João Palhinha and Sacha Boey could return to the team after recent injuries, but it is unlikely that one or the other is starting. Josip Stanisic, who has only played 90 minutes in all competitions this season, should return to programming after having recovered from a knee operation while Raphaël Guerreiro will be undergoing Davies on the left.

Leon Goretzka excelled against Wolfsburg, marking a splint, but he should be replaced by Aleksandar Pavlovic which should start alongside Joshua Kimmich. Jamal Musiala also started in the middle of the week for the first time in 2025 and should keep this position with Leroy Sané and Serge Gnabry for Michael Olise and Kingsley Coman.

As for Freiburg, Matthias Ginter was replaced against Stuttgart last weekend due to an injury and it is not clear if the central defender will begin. In the absence of GINTER, Philipp LIENHART will likely return to the departure XI.

According to Kicker, if Freiburg chose a counterattack configuration, Merlin Röhl will probably start left in front of Vincenzo Grifo.
