The young women, in khaki uniform, were first exhibited for a few seconds on a podium, drawn up for the occasion by Hamas in front of dozens of fighters from Hamas and Islamic Jihad in arms and hundreds of inhabitants. They had to be sent to Israel immediately.

For its part Israel must release on Saturday 200 Palestinians detained in its prisons. The list of prisoners, some of whom will be brought back to Gaza and others in occupied West Bank, includes 120 sentenced to life imprisonment, among which 70 must be exiled outside the Palestinian territories, said a Palestinian source.
