“In 2023, Russian embassies in Burkina Faso and Equatorial Guinea have already started their activities. Now, it is the turn of Niger and Sierra Leone to welcome Russian diplomatic representations ”said Zakharova said.
According to the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this decision follows a government decree published in late 2023. She testifies to Moscow’s desire to strengthen her relations with African countries and to consolidate her presence on the continent.
