The new Tesla Model arrives in France. Exactly two weeks after its beginnings in China, the juniper (this is the name of the project) enters the company’s prices list, although for the moment only in a launch version at a price of 60,990 euros. Cheaper versions will naturally arrive in the coming weeks.

Renewed in its outdoor style and interior, the Tesla Model Y 2025 takes over from its predecessor, the best -selling car in the world in 2023, optimizing many aspects and adopting innovations requested by users over the years. We tell you below.

If the outside of the new Tesla Model is very far from the restyling of its sister Model 3, the interior of the new Tesla Model fully takes the style of the Model 3. Which remains exquisitely Tesla. In the center of the dashboard, we find the touch screen to manage all aspects of Elon Musk’s electric SUV, but with a slightly increased diagonal, now 15.4 inches (against 15 before). The interface is the same, but the engineers worked to improve the software and the connection speed so that you do not have to wait to watch streaming content during the load or download OTA updates even faster.

Then, there are redesigned seats which are now not only heated but also ventilated, new materials, improved assemblies and room lighting provided by a LED end which includes almost all of the passenger compartment. Finally, the steering wheel has also been revised and there is now a classic lever for lighting the lights on the left. So goodbye the criticized buttons of the race on the left.

As on the rest of the range, the Juniper Model is equipped with an 8 ” rear screen at the end of the front tunnel. This is where we control the air conditioning and various multimedia content. Beautiful and rich in functionality, it is however a shame that the position does not allow to play some parts of the different arcade games of the system.

Finally, the trunk which, as we have said, increases its loading volume up to 2,138 liters with the folded back folders, thanks to an electrical control. There is no data on minimum capacity, but it should be more than 800 liters.

If we look at the versions for sale in China, we know that there are for now 2 versions:

Rear Wheel Drive Standard Range and Long Range All Wheel Drive. The first increases the autonomy from 450 to 466 km (WLTP cycle), the second from 533 to 568. On the other hand, the 0-100 decreases: 5.9 seconds for the propulsion version and 4.3 seconds for the version all -wheel drive. For both, the maximum speed goes from 217 to 201 km/h.

As indicated, the new Tesla Model Y can only be ordered from today only in the Lauunch Edition Long Range All Whell Drive version from 60,990 euros or rental for a variable duration, from 24 to 60 months. All solutions are of course available on the official configurator of the new Tesla Model Y. Other versions are expected in the coming weeks, with prices that have not yet been announced.
