The drama of the Coulin sisters rises well above the others for its first day of exit. “Better Man”, Robbie Williams's biopic offers a second comfortable place, but the rest is struggling to follow.
It's unheard of for Delphine and Muriel Coulin, the directors of Play with fire. This political drama centered on difficult relations between a father (left) and a son (who gradually slides to the far right) rose without difficulty at the top of the ranking of entries made on the first day, with 20,252 admissions.
It is impressive, all the more if we compare them to the start -up at 3,405 entries from their previous film, See country. The presence of Vincent Lindon at the head of the poster is probably not for nothing, but anyway, the film should have a good career.
Just behind, with 12,840 tickets, we find Better ManRobbie Williams' biopic, who lends his story and his voice to a monkey in CGI. With its 530 copies, and therefore 24 spectators per copy, it is not such a good score if you consider the heavy media apparatus deployed for its promotion.
