A family living in Pecquencourt (North) lost everything in the fire of their house on Tuesday January 21, 2025. As reported Lille News the fire broke out around 7 a.m. in the living room and spread very quickly. Fortunately, the residents managed to leave the scene but the mother was burned on the face and forearm.
According to firefighters, the fire was caused by a pellet stove. “The fire quickly engulfed the house”confirms a judicial source cited by our colleagues. Thanks to the rapid intervention of emergency services, the flames did not spread to neighboring homes. The family, a couple and their 10-month-old granddaughter, was relocated.

“Help them find a more serene life”
-The town hall of Pecquencourt has decided to launch an appeal for donations to help the victims. “A city family finds itself in difficult times. To support them in this ordeal, the municipality is launching an appeal for solidarity. Each contribution can help them find a more serene life”she wrote on her Facebook page.
Several clinics are planned in the coming days to collect clothing for adults and babies as well as shoes.
