It was on Tuesday evening, around 4:30 p.m., that firefighters were called to the Arbec factory in Amos, when a major fire broke out inside the building.
In total, 45 firefighters were mobilized, coming from Amos, La Corne, Saint-Marc-de-Figuery, Landrienne and Preissac, mentions the deputy director of the Fire Department of the City of Amos, Stéphane Sigouin .
A scenario which generates concerns, explains the mayor of Amos, Sébastien D’Astous.
The City of Amos had also asked all citizens last night to limit their water consumption, in order to preserve all resources for fire safety services.
-The Town of Amos supports the Arbec factory and, of course, wishes that the factory’s activities can resume as quickly as possible.
