Real Madrid continues to shine, not only on the pitch, but also in the scores. According to the 2025 edition of the Football Benchmark report, the Madrid club becomes the first in the world to cross the historic milestone of one billion euros in operating revenue, reaching 1.065 billion for the 2023-2024 season. This impressive figure places the Spaniards ahead of Manchester City (838 million euros) and Paris Saint-Germain (806 million), their closest pursuers. This exceptional financial performance is partly attributed to the new Santiago Bernabéu, whose match day revenues reached 251 million euros (+28% in one year), thanks in particular to the VIP zones which generated 83 million euros additional.
Controlled expenses
Real Madrid also outperforms its rivals in other key financial areas, including the market value of its squad, estimated at 1.364 billion euros, and overall enterprise value, valued at 5.097 billion. At the same time, rigorous cost management allows the team to remain a benchmark model. Despite a 12% increase in its payroll, notably with the arrival of Kylian Mbappé, reaching 505 million euros due to performance bonuses (41 million), the club displays a very efficient cost/income ratio (47 %), far from the figures of PSG (83%). With a net profit of 16 million euros, Real Madrid once again proves its ability to combine sporting success and exemplary economic management, confirming its place as undisputed leader in the world of European football.
