Leipzig pockets its first victory in the Champions League against Sporting Lisbon

Leipzig finally scored its first points, after seven days of the Champions League. The Germans mastered a revamped Sporting Lisbon this Wednesday (2-1), which lost valuable units in its quest to qualify for the play-offs and found itself out of the running for the eighth. The Lisbonites, who had advanced without their pyrotechnician Victor Gyökereset, as well as their rock Gonçalo Inacio, were unrecognizable for a long time.
